  • Composition: Private composition lessons to students with interests including contemporary art music, musical theater, popular music, and species counterpoint.
  • Orchestration I � Orchestration II: Comprehensive course discussing fundamentals of instrumentation to the problems and issues of scoring for orchestra.
  • Sophomore Music Theory: Core theory requirements for all music majors. Includes discussion of diatonic, chromatic and Twentieth-century techniques including set theory, serialism, synthetic scales and jazz. Instruction in aural skills and sight singing taught concurrently with harmonic component.
